Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This page is maintained by Tabama to set out the rules for using the Tabama timekeeping service. It is not legal advice or an independent certification. By using the service you agree to these terms.

1. About the service

Tabama is an online time clock and timesheet application for small businesses. The service allows employees to clock in and out, managers to view reports, and administrators to manage staff, company settings and billing.

2. Accounts and eligibility

To use Tabama you must register an account. The person who registers becomes the administrator of the company account and is responsible for adding and managing staff. You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You must be authorised to act on behalf of the company you register.

3. Free trial and subscriptions

New company accounts receive a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial, the service is billed at the then-current rate (currently £9.95 per month per company) unless cancelled. Subscription fees are handled by our payment processor. We may change pricing with notice, but existing subscriptions are generally honoured until renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that do not belong to you.
  • Interfere with the service's security, performance or availability.
  • Upload viruses, malware or other harmful code.
  • Harass, abuse or misrepresent yourself or others within the service.

Administrators are responsible for ensuring that staff they invite comply with these terms and that staff data is entered lawfully.

5. Data and content

Timekeeping data entered by you and your staff remains your property or that of your employer. You grant us the right to host, process and display that data solely to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your data.

6. Confidentiality and security

We use access controls and encryption to protect data, but we cannot guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for maintaining strong passwords and limiting access to your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

7. Termination

You can cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, fail to pay when due, or if your use creates legal or security risk. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain it.

8. Warranties and limitations

The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that reports will match every payroll or legal requirement. You should verify wage and hour calculations before using them for payroll. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

9. Changes to the terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page. If you continue to use the service after changes, you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
